American National Bank opened for business in the fall of 1976. From an original staff of 12, we have steadily grown in numbers to a present staff of over 125 dedicated employees eager to serve your banking needs. As of FYE 2006, our deposit totals were $269MM, and our net loans outstanding totaled $219MM. Originally capitalized at $1MM, ANB has consistently produced strong earnings, resulting in the Bank's capital base increasing to $34.2MM as of 12/31/06, which now enables us to handle the banking needs of virtually anyone in our marketplace. We are now one of the largest independent and locally owned banks in this area, and it is our fervent intent to remain so in the years to come.

Through the years we have tried to expand our services to correspond with the needs of our customers. To accomplish this, we opened a full service Mortgage Loan Department in the fall of 1990, and in 1995 we established a Trust Department. Since its inception, our Mortgage Loan Department has been one of the largest originators of single family mortgages in the area, and in the short time our Trust operation has been in existence, it has grown to be the largest in North Texas, with over $725MM in assets under management as of year end '06. We also have a leasing subsidiary, known as American National Leasing Company, an investment center, and a title company.

As our services have expanded, so have our facilities. The main bank at Midwestern Parkway and Maplewood has undergone three major add-ons since it was originally constructed in 1980, with the third addition completed in 2002. We also have a downtown branch at the corner of 8th and Scott, an 8000 square foot branch in Flower Mound, one of the fastest growing suburbs in Texas. We also have branches in Iowa Park and Archer City, both which are suburbs of Wichita Falls.
