PROTECT YOUR DEBIT CARD WITH SMSGUARDIAN

smsGuardian is an anti-fraud notification service that sends text alerts directly to your mobile phone or other SMS-enabled device. When certain debit card transactions take place, this added layer of security alerts you to possible fraudulent use of your card.

If you receive a text about a transaction you think is fraudulent, you can reply immediately and your card will be blocked from further activity. The text alert will also describe how to respond in order to stop the current transaction right from your mobile device.

How smsGuardian works:

This free service will send you a text alert for all of your enrolled American National Bank & Trust debit cards, if any of the following events/transactions occur:

  • Authorizations over $500 – text message will be sent if an authorization over $500 occurs.
  • International Transactions- text message will be sent for all transactions occurring outside the United States.
  • Fuel Transactions – text message will be sent after fuel station transactions.
  • Out of State transactions – text message will be sent for all transactions occurring outside of Texas.

SMS (Short Message Service) is a text messaging service that your enabled mobile devices can utilize.

Your enrollment for smsGuardian enables the service for one year. You will be notified and will be able to text a reply to renew your protection prior to its expiration. Changing mobile service providers may require you to re-enroll your mobile device. Start the three minute enrollment process here.

The types of transactions that generate a text message are predetermined and are outlined below. Alerts are based on your card usage; you will not receive more than one message per transaction for each enrolled card.

When any of the above transaction threshold(s) have been reached, you will receive a text message alert on the mobile device you enrolled with smsGuardian. The text message will describe how to respond in order to block your card from additional use. You must respond within 30 minutes of receipt of the message; if you reply as described, the card will be blocked from further use. For your security, you must contact us to have the block removed.
