American National Bank & Trust is committed to protecting the information we maintain. We identified and addressed a security incident involving some of that information. This notice explains the incident, measures we have taken, and some steps that involved individuals may consider taking.
On January 22, 2025, we identified unauthorized access to our network. Upon identifying this unauthorized access, we took steps to secure the network and information contained therein, notified law enforcement, and launched an investigation. A cybersecurity firm was engaged to assist. The investigation determined that an unauthorized actor gained access to our network and accessed files on some of our computer systems between January 21 and 22, 2025.
We reviewed copies of the files and determined that some of them contained individuals’ names along with one or more of the following: dates of birth, Social Security numbers, tax identification numbers, driver’s license or state identification card numbers, passport numbers, financial account information, payment card information, or certain medical information. The involved individuals have a current or former association with the bank, including, for example, current or former customers, guarantors, or beneficiaries.
We are mailing letters to involved individuals and offering eligible individuals a credit-monitoring and identity theft protection product at no cost to them. If you believe your information may be involved and have not received a notification letter, please contact our dedicated toll-free call center at 1-855-260-8285, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., Central Time, excluding holidays.
To help prevent something like this from happening again, we have taken and are taking steps to enhance our security measures.
