Wichita Falls, Texas – March 5, 2026 – American National Bank & Trust is proud to announce the hiring of TJ Hurt as Executive Vice President/Chief Technology Officer.
TJ is a senior technology and information security executive with more than 20 years of experience supporting community banks through the thoughtful and practical use of technology. Throughout his career, which includes owning an IT consulting firm and serving as a senior leader for a $2.7B community bank, TJ has built a reputation for strengthening security and modernizing technology in ways that directly enable day-to-day operations.

A Texas Tech University alumnus, and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)—a capstone designation for senior risk leaders, TJ also holds numerous specialized certifications: a certificate in cybersecurity, identity, and authentication from the University of Memphis, is a CBSE (Certified Banking Security Executive), and holds Microsoft, NIST, and FEMA designations. Nationally, TJ is a member of InfraGard, an FBI program partnering with private-sector professionals to protect U.S. critical infrastructure. TJ is also a committed leader in his local community, serving on the boards of Lubbock Young Life and the American Windmill Museum, as well as the Lubbock ISD School Library Advisory Council.
Beyond his professional achievements, TJ is committed to community service, having served on the boards for Lubbock Young Life and the American Windmill Museum, as well as the Lubbock ISD School Library Advisory Council. An avid endurance runner and outdoorsman, TJ’s approach to technology and life is defined by a focus on long-term durability and constant improvement.
