Independent Bankers Association of Texas Recognizes Wichita Falls Bank’s Architectural Design

OCTOBER 21, 2026
WICHITA FALLS, Texas—The Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT), the largest state community banking association in the nation, recently honored American National Bank & Trust in Wichita Falls with a Best of Community Banking (BOCB) Award. The bank received a Silver Eagle Award in the Architectural Design category for its “Growing Together: New Branch Openings in Roanoke & Dallas” entry.
As American National Bank & Trust celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026, the bank is continuing its expansion across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex while maintaining a consistent design identity across its locations. In 2025, the bank opened new branches in Roanoke and Dallas, designed in partnership with Muckleroy & Falls to reflect the character of each community while creating a recognizable American National Bank & Trust experience.
Both locations were designed around a refined, hospitality-driven approach that moves away from the traditional bank branch environment. Open-concept layouts integrate modern banking technology while preserving face-to-face relationships that have been central to the bank throughout its 50-year history. While the Roanoke and Dallas branches share a common design language, each incorporates distinct interior and exterior elements tailored to its surrounding community.
“We are incredibly honored to receive this statewide recognition for architectural design. These two branches were intentionally created to reflect the unique character, history, and spirit of the communities they serve, while remaining unmistakably connected to our bank’s identity and values,” said Craig Berry, American National Bank & Trust President / Chief Lending Officer. “This award is a testament to the vision, creativity, and collaboration of our team and design partners, who helped bring spaces to life that are both distinctive and unified. We believe great design goes beyond aesthetics. It creates meaningful experiences, strengthens community connections, and reinforces the trust our customers place in us every day.”

2026 marks the 35th year that IBAT has celebrated the outstanding accomplishments of Texas community banks with the BOCB Awards. Community banks, such as American National Bank & Trust, play a critical role in their local communities. The Best of Community Banking competition is designed to honor local banks for their commitment to helping their customers, neighbors, employees, and community. BOCB Awards recognize community banks throughout the state for their innovation, creativity, and success in fulfilling a specific community or internal need.
